Events held honor graduating class

Every year towards the end of the spring semester there is a week long celebration dedicated to the graduating class. This year senior week kicked off on Monday, April 19, and went until Thursday, April 22. On Monday at 12:00 p.m., the Alumni Association held a networking lunch catered by Moe’s Southwestern Grill.

He's been there, done that, and he's even got the gold medal to prove it. 18 year-old incoming Medaille freshman, Adam Page, won gold at the Vancouver Winter Games as a member of the U.S. Paralympic sled hockey team in its 2-0 victory over Japan. Full story

Extraordinary Excursions: Vanessa Goodman

Vanessa Goodman, senior vet-tech major, enlisted in the Army in February of 1999 when she was a senior in high school. Goodman liked the sound of getting disciplined, organized, traveling and getting money towards a higher education. “I though, ‘this sounds awesome,’” she said.

The blend of characters from RENT produces an effortless feeling of unity. The love, loss, and fear the characters face is stripped down to the rawest sense of emotion and enforced by highs and lows of epic proportions. Once rehearsals began the members of the Medaille Music and Drama Club were starting to understand their characters and the message of RENT.

The imperfections every family faces is brought to the surface in NBC’s Parenthood. Zeek Braverman (Craig T. Nelson), the headstrong comedic father, and Camille Braverman (Bonnie Bedelia), the warm-hearted mother, are the centerpiece to this colorful family.

McFayden goes pro

Kendell McFayden is ready to put the USL-1 soccer ball up on the mantle. McFayden signed a three year contract through the 2012 season with the Austin Aztex, starting May 10th after he graduates. The Aztex are one step below the MLS (Major League Soccer) level. Full story

Zemla claims homerun record

As of April 20, the Lady Mavs are an even 14-14 overall and 7-7 in AMCC play. However, they have at least one player ranked in the top five of each major AMCC offensive statistic, with conference playoffs right around the corner. Junior, Alyssa Zemla, leads the AMCC with 10 home runs and 34 RBI’s thus far.

Men's lacrosse team battles into the playoffs

The Men’s lacrosse team has been battling during their final games of the season. After their big win over Alfred University the men lost the next three games. The guys went five and one over the next six games. The team has seen strong performances from every player.

Lady Mavs end season strong

The Medaille Women’s Lacrosse team ended their season last week with an impressive 23-2 victory over Waynesburg College. Junior Marilyn Meyer scored five goals in the final game and was later named to the First Team All Conference. Meyer led the Lady Mavs in almost every statistical category including points (30), shots (55), goals (26), ground balls (51), and shots on goal (39).
